How to Use Face Skin Treatment Correctly

Perhaps you’re thinking that just using a face cream would be enough in moisturizing and keeping your skin healthy, young looking and bright, but not. What you need in order to maintain lovely skin is apply your beauty products correctly. Check out the following for a guide to get started.

Use a cleanser

To get the most out of the face skin treatment and regimen you’re following, use the gentle facial cleanser first on the list. Cleansing your face gives way for better absorption of the products. And to use it properly, apply it on your face using your fingertips (facial foaming wash) and on damp skin. Don’t apply it on a washcloth that will just absorb it. But then pat the product to dry skin if you’re using a cleansing lotion to avoid diluting it. Whichever skin cleanser you’re using, you must apply and massage it on your face in a circular motion and then rinse it well after a few minutes.

Once done, swipe a washcloth or a sponge on your face to get rid of dirt, excess oil and makeup totally. But don’t cleanse your face only at night but also the next morning to eliminate any excess natural oil and grime that collected on your face.

Apply a toner

Using skin creams regularly isn’t the only thing you need to improve your skin appearance and keep it glowing and fresh.  You should also use a toner. However, don’t believe that they must be misted or sprayed for the best results.

While sprays are easy and convenient, it will be more effective to wipe the toner on your face because toners are designed and created in getting rid of residues, including chlorines, chemicals and salts, which you might not be able to remove if you’d just spray it on your face. And for the best results, look for and use only an alcohol-free toner because alcohol-based ones are irritating and drying.  To use it, wipe it over your face using cotton, and then later mist some later.

Massage a beauty serum

A moisturizing cream or a serum can help in maximizing the effects of other skincare products you’re using. For example, a serum has higher concentration of active ingredients and they work in improving the performance of other face products if you’d apply it on damp skin. And applying serum on damp, not dry skin is more effective because the former is more permeable than the latter. In the process, the active ingredients will be able to penetrate deeper into the skin and allow for better absorption of these ingredients.  Look for a serum that’s appropriate for the needs of your skin – softening wrinkles and fine lines or fading brown spots.

Use a moisturizer on your neck too

One of the biggest blunders committed by women is that they only apply the Dr Oz cream, for example, on their face alone, not paying attention to their neck. They don’t know that they should also apply it on their throat area and neck, which is an extension of the face.   Thus, you should not ignore applying moisturizer on these areas for an even application.

[Additionally, don’t consider adding extra layers of a moisturizer to heal dry skin. instead of healing it faster, it might just suffer from clogged pores, and you’ll just waste the product.]

By applying skincare products correctly, you will be able to get their maximum benefits. For example, you may want to consider wiping the toner instead of spraying it to eliminate excess oil and restore skin’s pH balance.
